Ah hello everyone  The last few weeks have been some of the most eye-opening, amazing experiences of my life. Sometime during all of this, I've decided that I will no longer only sell photos, and all self made content released on

The adventure begins Jan. 19, 2014

This is Backcountry. Here, blood meets rock, sweat meets trail, and the well-worn path to a routine existence reaches its terminus. This is an invitation to feed your wanderlust, to rediscover the spark inside you and feel the strain of your muscles against the forces of nature. Every second is about action—it's gas and a match fed to grit and determination.

Together, Synnott, Honnold and Pearson endure a long, bumpy drive across the sand flats of a godforsaken country to reach an incredible destination: gardens of towers filled with graceful fingers of rock, bottle-shaped formations and lithe arches. With its stark and poetic footage of camels and rock, as well as jarring images of unpleasant travels, this film shows that sometimes you can have just as many adventures trying to reach your destination as you can have once you get there.

Experience the beauty of Mt. Everest at night in time-lapse. While most climbers slept, I attempted to capture some of the magic that the Himalayan skies have to offer while climbing to the top of the world.

People who are passionate about life, do whatever it takes in the pursuit of the experience, who don’t consider distance and hard work an obstacle, take disaster in stride, do not understand the meaning of impossible, and have an insatiable desire for adventure and life.

When asked why he went up there to die, he replied: "I didn't go up there to die. I went up there to live."

Pause. Take 5. Breathe. Decompress. Watch for 60 seconds. It is worth it.

Snow and water in all reality are one in the same — snow is just the frozen form of water. And every winter it snows and every spring it melts and its just another way for us to feel connected to the amazing world we live in.

Here is everything that I plan to travel the world with. As I'm sure I have forgotten to list many of the things, I plan to update this often adding and reviewing my experiences with the gear after I have had time to test it all out a bit more. I have gone for highest quality/best price gear I could find in hopes of it lasting 5-10 years.

A bunch of amazing Italian strangers met in the northern region of Trentino, Italy and went way up into the Italian alps to go hiking and mountain biking.

Twice a week for over half a century, Baltazar Ushca has hiked up the slopes of Mount Chimborazo, the tallest mountain in Ecuador, to harvest glacial ice that covers the highest altitudes of this dormant volcano. In the past, up to forty ice merchants made the journey up the mountain to mine the ice; today, however, Baltazar works alone. We are the lost generation.
